WARNER – NJCAA Region II Basketball Tournament play-in games which were to be played on Monday have been rescheduled for Tuesday, according to Mike St. John, regional director.
Connors State Cowgirls (5-22, 2-16) will play at Redlands Community College (14-14, 8-10) on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Other women’s first round games involve Arkansas Baptist (13-16) at Carl Albert (15-13, 9-9) and Western State (3-20, 0-18) at Seminole State (11-15, 8-10).
A Connors State win on Tuesday will advance the Cowgirls to the quarterfinals on Wednesday against top seed Northeastern A&M (26-3, 17-1) at 3 p.m. at St. Gregory’s University in Shawnee.
The men’s play-in games on Tuesday involve Murray State (4-26, 4-14) at Seminole State (16-12, 6-12), Arkansas Baptist (20-9) at Eastern State (29-9, 10-8) and Carl Albert (4-23, 2-16) at Northern Oklahoma-Tonkawa (17-13, 9-9).
Connors State Cowboys (22-6, 13-6), the Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference champions, and the top seed in the Region II Tournament, will play the winner of Seminole State and Murray State in the quarterfinal round on Thursday at 1 p.m. at St. Gregory’s University in Shawnee.
