Kingsley Nwagboso signed Division II NCAA basketball letter of intent with Francis Marion University


WARNER – Connors State’s Kingsley Nwagboso has signed a Division II NCAA basketball letter of intent with Francis Marion University in Florence, S.C. The 6-11 post player from Manchester, England will join head coach Gary Edwards club in August where he will have two-years of eligibility for the Patriots. This past season, he averaged 4.5 points and 4.9 rebounds for the 27-7 Cowboys. He connected on 48.4 percent of his field goal attempts. Connors State advanced to the NJCAA National Tournament. Nwagboso spent his freshman season at the State College of Florida, where he averaged 5.4 points and 8.9 rebounds per game and tallied a team-high 27 blocked shots. He is a product of Ganon Slade school and Loreto College in Manchester, and averaged 11 ppg as a high school senior. He spent the 2016 summer playing for Great Britain’s U20 Team. Francis Marion posted an11-17 record last season and competes in the Peach Belt Conference.
