Paris JC Defeats Cowgirls With Late Run, 57-50

PARIS, TEXAS–Connors State failed to control the boards giving host Paris Junior College a 57-50 victory Saturday on the Lady Dragons home floor.

The Cowgirls (3-2) battled back to tie Paris with a 12-0 run to open the final quarter, before the Dragons made a late run in the quarter to down Connors State.

“Once again we got beat on the boards, especially on the offensive end, said head coach Jamie Fisher. “They just killed us.”

Connors will play Bacone College Junior Varsity Wednesday night in Muskogee at 6 p.m.

Saide Carter and DeAuja Thompson led the Connors scoring with 10 points each. Paris attack was led by Kenyah Hawkins with 14 points with Jaida Muhammad adding another 10 in the win.
