Cowboys Roll Past Cedar Valley 88-68; Remain Unbeaten at 5-0

DALLAS, TEXAS–The 26th ranked Connors State Cowboys remained unbeaten at 5-0 with an 88-68 victory over host Cedar Valley Community College Tuesday night.

Connors returns home Wednesday night to play Southwestern Christian Junior Varsity at Melvin Self Field House. Tip-off is 7 p.m.

“We had three players score in double figures, also we defended them pretty well,” said Cowboys head coach Bill Muse. I was very pleased with our perimeter defensive play. We got good production from our back court.”

The Cowboys broke open the game late in the first half taking a 40-34 advantage as Darius Roy, Ra’Shawn Langston and Mason Jones led the offensive attack.

Roy led the way with 23 points, while Langston followed with 22 and Jones. 14.

Cedar Valley (3-3) was paced by JF Thomas Jr.’s 26 points with Desmond Kennedy adding 14.
