Cowgirls Slam Ft. Scott CC, 76-55

WARNER– Connors Cowgirls won their third consecutive game a 76-55 non-conference victory over Fort Scott Community College Saturday at Melvin Self Field House.

Cowgirls (7-6) will go on the road to play Mid American Christian Junior Varsity Wednesday in Moore. Tip-off is 6 p .m.

“We have played three games in a week and we haven’t had much time to practice, but we did play well today,” said Cowgirls head Coach Jamie Fisher.

“I thought we did some good things. We shot the ball well and we are starting to defend much better,” said Fisher.

DeAuja Thompson led the Cowgirls scoring with 26 points with Mikiah McDonald adding another 16 in the win.

Connors led from start to finish taking a 23-15 lead after the first quarter and 38-27 at the half.

The Greyhounds scoring was led by Arkiarra Clark with 19 points.
