Interim Head Coach Jamie Fisher is entering his fourth year on the Cowgirl bench. In Fisher’s first season on the Cowgirl staff the Cowgirls finished with a record of 16-14. The Cowgirls finished the 2012-2013 season in the seventh in the country in scoring offense and first in the conference averaging 77 points a game. Fisher’s primary duties are recruiting, scouting, academics, and working with the Cowgirl backcourt.

Prior to Coach Fisher’s arrival at Connors State he spent four years in Big Spring, Texas, at Howard College.

While working at Howard Fisher worked under Head Coach Earl Diddle, who has coached on every level including the UAE Olympic team. In Fisher’s tenure at Howard the Lady Hawks won over 85 games and qualified for two NJCAA Region 5 tournaments and one NJCAA National Tournament.

In Fisher’s first season at Howard the Lady Hawks compiled a record of 26-9 winning the Region 5 tournament and qualifying for the NJCAA National Tournament in Salina, Kansas. Fisher’s was fortunate enough to help recruit and coach 10 WJCAC All Conference players, 5 All Region 5 players, 4 NJCAA Academic All Americans, and 20 players moved on to play at the four year level to schools like Stephen F Austin, University of Houston, and Iowa State University.

Fisher started his coaching career at his alma mater, Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, Kan., in 2007-2008. At Coffeyville Fisher served as Assistant Men/Women’s Golf Coach, and Assistant Sports Information Director. Fisher worked under his college golf coach, Bill Williamson, who recently retired as the head coach at Coffeyville. The Red Raven men’s team finished fourth in the conference and qualified for the NJCAA National Tournament. Fisher’s primary duties as assistant coach were recruiting, off season conditioning, and academics.

Fisher received his Associate’s Degree from Coffeyville Community College, where he was a member of the Red Raven Golf team. He went on to Northeastern State University in Tahlequah to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations/Marketing. Fisher is a native of Sperry Okla., and currently resides in Warner, Okla.
