WARNER—Following a coin toss with Seminole State Monday morning; the Connors State Cowboys received the No.2 seed for the Region II Baseball Tournament that unfolds Thursday at Woodward, Okla.
The Cowboys and Trojans who tied for the top spot in the Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference during the regular season resulting in a coin toss.
The 8th-ranked Cowboys (47-7) will open the tournament as the No. 2 seed at Crystal Beach Park on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. against Rose State College (5-37).
Eastern State (42-15) the No.3 seed will open the tournament at noon against Northeastern A&M (25-25)
Top seed Seminole State (37-10) will play Arkansas Baptist (5-37) at 7:30 p.m.
A Connors win on Thursday and they will then play the winner of Eastern State and NEO at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. A loss Thursday and they will play at noon Friday against the Seminole and Arkansas Baptist loser.
The championship game will be played Sunday at 1 p.m. and an if necessary contest at 4 p.m.
The champion will host the South Central Regional May 17-19 involving champions from Region 2, 16 and 23.
