WARNER –Connors State's Ra'Shawn Langston, 6-2 guard from Little Rock, Arkansas, has been named second-team National Junior College Athletic Association All-American, it was announced in Colorado, Springs, Colo.
The sophomore, who is headed to Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, La., is the 19th player under Cowboys' head coach Bill Muse to be named to the NJCAA All-American team.
Langston, who also was recently named the Player of the Year in the Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference, became the 10th player to score over 1,000 points (1,163, 6th all-time) during his two year career at Connors.
Langston led the Cowboys to their fifth consecutive Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference championship and a top seed in the Region II Tournament and to the Elite Eight of the NJCAA National Tournament, averaging 19. 6 points, connecting on 190-of-360 attempts from the field for 52.8 percent this season.
Langston was 51-of-134 from behind the arc connecting on 38.1 percent. At the free throw line he shot 79.6 percent connecting on 117-of-147 attempts.
