Cowboys Pound Central Baptist Again, 116-64

Warner---Connors State Cowboys rolled to its seventh straight victory (7-0) Friday with a 116-64 pounding of visiting Central Baptist College at Melvin Self Field House.

The 23rd-ranked Cowboys had six players score in double figures as they raced to a 62-31 lead at half time.

Tyrees Sidberry led Cowboys onslaught with 19 points followed by Caleb Riggs' 16, Isaiah Jones '16, Elijah Landrum's 15, Daylon Tanksley 13 and Burke Putnam 12.

"Once again we had balanced scoring with six different guys scoring in double figures," said Cowboys head coach Bill Muse. "Along with the balanced scoring I thought we played excellent defense."

It was the second win of the season over Central Baptist (in the season opener 99-51) and the fifth time Connors surpassed the century mark.

Connors returns to the court on Monday against Oklahoma Wesleyan College at Melvin Self Field House. Tip-off is 7 p.m.
