WARNER—A total of 10 Cowboys got into the scoring act for Connors State Tuesday night at Melvin Self Field House and as a result it was a 119-49 romp of visiting Central Baptist Junior Varsity on Patriotic Night.

The Cowboys were just two points shy of tying the all-time scoring mark of 121 established against Bacone College in 1994.

Connors (6-0) will next play Mid-American Christian JV on Monday Nov. 18th  at the Muskogee Civic Center at 7 p.m.

"This was a game that makes everybody feel good," said Coach Bill Muse. "Everybody gets a chance to play. Guys who haven't been getting early minutes in our early games are getting some minutes now.

"They can now prove they can get some minutes when we start playing some really, really tough competition.

"This game gave us a little bit of confidence and helps your morale.

"We've made some improvement from our Monday game and that's what we strive to do," said Muse.

Seven Cowboys scored in double figures led by Jahcoree Ealy's 22 points. Ealy was followed by Jace Jordan 18, Jordan Graham 17, Caleb Riggs 16, Callen Haydon 14, and Gabe Hornsby, Jarqvaulos Cain with 11 each.

Central Baptist which had only six players suited up for the game was led in scoring by Cole Drumm's 26 points, which included six from behind the arc. The Mustangs finished with nine treys. Connors drained 13 threes in the one-sided contest.

Cowboys hit the century mark in scoring for the third time this season.

Ealy put Connors over the century mark with 6:27 remaining 101-40.

Cowboys held a 59-23 advantage at the half, jumping out to a 25-8 lead just nine minutes into the game.

Muse felt like his club improved on defense against the Mustangs.

"We have just one starter back from last year," said Muse. "Its four guys still trying to find their way.

" I like this team and the future is really bright for them."
