BETHANY, Okla—Connors State held off Southwest Christian University Junior Varsity Tuesday night 106-97 to remain unbeaten.

In their first meeting the Cowboys defeated the Eagles 111-57 in November on Connors home floor.

The Cowboys (12-0) placed five players in double figures led by Callen Haydon's career high 32 points.

Haydon's previous high was 25 points against Northeastern A&M last season.

Jahcoree Ealy followed in the scoring parade with 21 points with Jarquavius Cain and Daylon Tanksley adding 19 each.  Jace Jordan finished with 10 points.

Despite the win Coach Bill Muse was not pleased with his club's performance. "We played very lethargic and appear to be heading in the wrong direction," said Muse.

"We just weren't very competitive tonight."

Connors held a 55-41 lead at the intermission then held off a late threat by the Eagles to preserve the victory for the 21st ranked Cowboys.

Connors returns to action on Thursday night at Melvin Self Field house hosting Cedar Valley Community College from Dallas, Texas.  Tip-off is 6 p.m.
