EL RENO---Connors State's offense revved up Monday night at Redlands Community College placing six players in double-digit scoring en route to a 101-72 victory over the Cougars in an Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference clash.
Cowboys will play Murray State Thursday night to close out the regular season on Sophomore Night. Cowboys enter the season finale with a 21-8 record and 8-7 OCAC mark. Tip-off is 7:30 p.m.
The Aggies defeated the Cowboys in their first meeting 81-72 at Murray.
"When you score 100 points you should have six players score in double figures," said Coach Bill Muse.
It was the 13th time this season the Cowboys eclipsed the century mark in scoring.
"I thought we played excellent defense the first half. When you have that big of a lead it's hard to maintain. We jumped on them pretty quick." Redlands scored 47 second half points on the Cowboys.
Connors win or lose against Murray on Thursday will finish fourth for the Region II Tournament and open play on Thursday (March 6th) at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee.
Redlands closes its regular season 6-24 and 0-16 in OCAC play.
James Alexandre led the Cougars' scoring with 25 points. Elijah Herron added 13.
Cowboys held a 59-25 lead at the half and cruised to the win in the final 20 minutes of play.
