Cowboys Win First True Road Test

Paris, Texas- The Connors State College Cowboys went on the road to Paris Junior College on Saturday evening for Paris Junior College's Homecoming and came away with a 71-65 Road Victory inside the Hunt Center.

The game was back and fourth until the cowboys took controle of the game with about 8 minutes left in the first half. From that point on the cowboys controlled the game annd came away with a hard fought road victory.

The Cowboys were up 13 at the half 42-29 and lead by as many as 17 Points in the Second Half. The closest that Paris Junior College would get the rest of the game was 3 with 1:00 minute left in the game.  

The Cowboys had 3 players finish in double figures, lead by Freshman guard Xavier Glenn who finished with 18 points. Jordan Tillmon followed him with 11 points. Jahcoree Ealy had 10 points. DJ Basey and Marquel Sutton had 9 points. Greg Johnson and Mason Alexander had 7 points.

The Cowboys Shot 51 percent from field, and 60 percent from the 3 point line.

The Cowboys out rebounded the Dragons by 15 on the night with the final numbers being a 39-24 rebound advantage.

The Cowboys are back in action on Tuesday Night at 7:00pm on the road at Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference member Independence Community College.
