Cowboys Win on the Road in Kansas

Independence, Kansas- The Connors State College Cowboys went on the road to Independence Community College on Tuesday Night and came away with a 82-64 win on the pirates home floor.

The Cowboys were down 4 at the half 29-33. In the second half the cowboys largest lead was 15 before the final margin of 18. The copwboys started the second half on a 8-0 run to gain controle of the game before Independence made a late run at the cowboys. The cowboys withstood the run and finished the game off at the Foul Line. The cpwboys shot 73 percetnfrom the line and went 8 for 8 down the stretch.

The Cowboys had 5 players finish in double figures, lead by Sophomore guard Jahcoree Ealy who finished with 21 points. DJ Basey recorded a double double with 17 points and 10 Rebounds. Jordan Tillmon had 12 points. Xavier Glenn and Marquel Sutton had 10 points. Greg Johnson had 6 points. Sammy Mike had 4 Points and Mason Alexander had 2 points.

The cowboys shot 51 percent from the floor on the night and 31 percent from the three.

The Cowboys are back in action on Tomorrow Night at 7:00pm at Home against Oklahoma Wesleyan. Wednesday Night's game will be patriotic night inside Melvin Self Field-house. Prior to the game, there will be a 15 minute ceremony honoring all the military men and women along with first responers. At halftime all veterans in attendence will be honored at midcourt and recieve a present from Connors State College.

The win moves the Cowboys to 5-0 on the season and career win number 690 for Cowboy Head Coach Bill Muse.
