Cowboys Sweep Paris Junior College

Warner- The Connors State College Cowboys came away with a 76-55 home victory over visiting Paris Junior College on Saturday inside Melvin Self Field-House on Former Players Day.

The cowboys held a commanding leading at the half and never let up in the second half. The cowboys started the game on a 14-4 run and never let up. The closed that the Dragons would come to the cowboys was in the first half with the score being 14-9. The cowboys responded with a run of their own and never let up from that point on. The largest lead of the game for the cowboys was 29 (71-42).

The cowboys placed five players in double figures. Leading the way was Sophomore Guard Jahcoree Ealy who had 18 points on the afternoon. Jordan Tillmon finished with 17. Marquel Sutton had 14. Xavier Glenn and Mason Alexander round out the double figure scoring with 11 points each. Sammy Mike had 4 points, and Greg Johnson had 1 point. 

The Cowboys shot 55 Percent from the floor, and 38 percetn from three. Connors also shot 71 percent from the foul line on the afternoon.

The win moves the Cowboys to 7-0 on the year. The Cowboys will be back in action on Monday November 15th in Oklahoma City inside the Gaulkie Activity Center to take on Mid-America Christian. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30pm
