Cowboys Falter Late in Second Half

Tishomingo- The Connors State College Cowboys went on the road to Murray State College on Monday Night and fell 89-77 inside Beams Field-House.

The Cowboys were only down 2 at the half, and took a brief 61-57 with just under 10 minutes to play but that was the last lead that the Cowboys would have on the night. Murray State answered the cowboys lead with a 8 -0 run to take command of tehe game and the copwboys came no closser than 71-74 with just under 4 minutes to play in regulation. The cowboys fought till the end but came up short. In the second half, the cowboys leading scorer Jahcoree Ealy fouled out with 8 minutes remaining but the cowboys continued to battle. 

The Cowboys had 4 players finish in double figures, lead by Freshman guard Xavier Glenn who finished with 25 points. Jordan Tillmon finished with 17 points. Jahcoree Ealy and Mason Alexander finished with 11 points.had 12 points. Marquel Sutton had 9 points, and DJ Basey finished with 4 points. 

The Cowboys shot 46 percent from the floor, but only 65 percent from the Free throw Line compared to Murray States 73 percent.

The Cowboys are back in action on Thursday Night inside Melvin Self Field-House to entertain Northern Oklahoma College- Tonkawa who is recieveing Votes in the Latest NJCAA National Poll. Tip-Off for this OCAC Clash is at 7:30pm. The loss drops the Cowboys to 15-3 and 1-3 in OCAC Play.
