Altus- Connors State rode second-half charges to road wins at Western on Monday Night inside Pioneer Gym. The Cowboys down 1 at the half came away with a 82-65 win on Monday in Altus.
The Cowboys (17-3, 3-3 OCAC) led 19 minutes of the first half before trailing on a buzzer-3 at the half, which put the cwoboys down 37-36 after 20 minutes of play. The cowboys opened the second half on a 6-2 run to regain the lead and never looked back in a domiating second half.
Jordan Tillmon led four Cowboys in double figures with a game-high 18 points. Jahcoree Ealy had 17 while Xavier Glenn and Marquel Sutton had 15. Muskogee Graduate Xavier Brown came off the bench to pour in 5 points. Mason Alexander and Sammy Mike contribuated 4 points, and Greg Johnson added 6 points in the victory.
The Cowboys shot 44 percent from the field, and 85 percent from the Free throw Line.
The Cowboys are back at Home on Thursday Night to entertain Northeastern Oklahoma A&M (NEO) in the A&M Rivalry Game. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30pm inside Melvin Self Field-House.
