Miami, OK- The Connors State College Cowboys went on the Road Monday Night and came away with a hard fought 67-65 victory inside NEO Fieldhouse. The Cowboys had to fight baclk from an 11 point secind half deficit to secure the victory. With the victory the cowboys stay in 3rd place in the OCAC and move there record to 24-5, and 10-5 in Conference play.

Freshman Forward Marquel Sutton lead the Cowboys in scoring with 22. Jordan Tillmon Followed with 18. Tillmon also hit two huge threes down the stretch to give the cowboys a 4 point lead with just over 1 minute left in the game. DJ Basey had 15 Points on the night. Jahcoree Ealy added 10 points, and Greg Johnson chipped in 2 points for the Cowboys.

Connors State held a 33-28 lead at the half, only to see NEO open the second half on a huge run to take a 50-39 lead with just over 11 minutes to play, but thats when the Cowboys started chipping away and cut the NEO lead to 4 with just over 6 minutes left. Connors took the lead for good with two Jahcoree Ealy Free Throws with just under 2 minutes to play. Connors largest lead in the final minutes was 4. NEO had a chance to tie to game but the Cowboy Defense stepped up late and got 2 huge stops down the stretch to secure the win.

Connors State will be back in action on Thursday February 24th on the Road at Northern Oklahoma College- Enid for the final regular season game leading into the 2022 NJCAA Region 2 Tournament in Shawnee, Oklahoma at Oklahoma Baptist University. The game is in question depending on weather situations.
