Cowgirls Fall to Northeastern A&M 69-47 in OCAC Play

 

WARNER—Connors Cowgirls fell to Northeastern A&M 69-47 in Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference play Thursday night at Melvin Self Field House.

The loss drops the Cowgirls to 14-11 overall and 6-7 in league play. NEO improves to 17-7 and 9-3.

Cowgirls fell behind 18-10 after the first quarter and increased its lead to 34-16 on a 10-4 run with 40 seconds remaining in the half to put the game away.

The Lady Norse's largest lead was 23 points with 55 ticks remaining in the game.

Shanique Patterson was the only Cowgirl to score in double figures with 10 points. Vicky Duru scored nine points.

NEO scoring was led by Betty Mununga and Megan Jackson with 14 points each.

Cowgirls will play Saturday against Midland College at 2 p.m. at Melvin Self Field House.
