Cowgirls set for Play-In Game vs. Western

The Connors State Cowgirls will host the first round of the Region 2 tournament Monday evening at 5:30 pm against Western Oklahoma Lady Pioneers. The Cowgirls will take their 9-13 record against Western to see who will earn the right to face top seed Seminole State College on Thursday in Enid, Oklahoma. 

"This is always the fun part of the season, because everyone gets a fresh start and gets to lay it all out on the line each night," said Cowgirl Head Coach Jamie Fisher. 

The Cowgirls split with Western this year defeating them the first go around 63-52 in Warner on February 1st, but Western go their revenge on the Cowgirls defeating them on March 4th in Altus with an overtime victory by the score of 50-42. The Cowgirl are in a must win situation to be able to adcance to Enid in the Region 2 Tournament. The Cowgirls will have to make sure an set the tempo at home and do a good job of coming out ready to play so they can move forward. 

"This will be a game of who wants to advance to Enid more, and I am looking forward to getting into post-season play this upcoming week." said Fisher
