Connors State Cowboys Beat DFW Post Grad On Powerful Performance From Beeler

Luke Beeler hit two home runs and drove in seven as Connors State Cowboys defeated DFW Post Grad 23-2 on Friday. Beeler homered in the second and fourth innings. Connors State Cowboys got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Maddox Edwards singled, scoring one run, Beeler doubled, scoring one run, and Cale Parr homered to right field, scoring three runs. DFW Post Grad scored two runs in the top of the second on a home run to center field by Carter. Four more Connors State Cowboys runs crossed the plate in the second inning to extend the lead to 9-2. Beeler homered to right field, scoring three runs, and Edwards drew a walk, scoring one run. Connors State Cowboys added five more runs in the bottom of the third inning on two hits. Marc Nellis hit a grand slam to right field, and Logan Hedrick hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. Nine more Connors State Cowboys runs crossed the plate in the fourth inning to extend the lead to 23-2. Parr homered to right field, scoring two runs, Ybarra induced Matteo Mendes to hit into a fielder's choice, but two runs scored, Brooks Hasenclever doubled, scoring two runs, and Beeler homered to left field, scoring three runs. Jaxon Lee started on the bump for Connors State Cowboys. The pitcher surrendered three hits and two runs over three innings, striking out three and walking none. Kaufman stepped on the hill first for DFW Post Grad. The starter gave up six hits and five runs over one inning, striking out none and walking one. Brock Flanagan and Cade Cometti each threw shutout innings for Connors State Cowboys in relief. Connors State Cowboys amassed 17 hits in the game.
