Cowboys Overwhelm Southwestern Christian on Patriotic Night
The Connors State Cowboys had little trouble with visiting Southwestern Christian University Eagles on Wednesday Night inside Melvin Self field-House. The cowboys came away with a 118-39 victory improving their record to 3-0 on the year.

The cowboys held a commanding 61-24 lead at the Half and expanded their lead early in the second half. The cowboys controlled the game from start to finish by opening the game on a 5 to 0 run in the first 3 minutes of the game. The eagles would then make a run of their own to cut the Cowboy lead to 5, but Connors answered right back witha run of their own.
The Cowboys had 6 players score in double figures on the night. Leading the scoring attack for the Cowboys was Freshman Guard Khamani Cooper who poured in 25 points. Following Cooper was Buddy Hammer Jr with 19. Bradyn Hubbard Recorded another Double Double for the Cpwboys scoring 18 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Ty Frierson had 17 points including a Monster Dunk in the second half. Donyae May poured in 15 for the Cowboys. Hutchinson CC Transfer Antonio Green added 11 points on the Night.
All 10 of the Cowboys got into the scoring collum on the night.
The cowboys shot 58 percent from the field, and 44 percet from the 3 point line in the victory.
Connors out rebounded the Eagles by 33 on the night with the final rebound numbers being 52-19.
Connors will now turn its attention to Independence Community College on Wednesday in Independence, Kansas. Tip-Off is set for 7:00pm
