Cowboys Enter Holiday Break with Convincing Win over Shorter College

Warner- The results were similar for the Cowboys who broke an early 4-4 tie and went on to lead at intermission 43-29 over the Bulldogs and won easily 96-49. Standout forward Bradyn Hubbard again led the Cowboy scoring with 23 points and was one of four Cowboys to hit double numbers with Khamani Cooper coming off the bench to put in 22 points followed by Westville's Buddy Hammer with 16 points and Tulsa Memorial product Ty Frierson contributing 13.

The Cowboys finished the first half with a 13-1 mark and while coach Bill Muse is pretty happy with the play of his team there is one concern.

"I think depth is my biggest concern right now. We have one guy (Saiyd Burnside) out with a stress fracture, and we may have suffered another injury in the game tonight so we're down to just eight or nine guys right now," Muse said. "But we had a good semester. We stubbed our toe once down in Dallas, but I think we learned from it and I'm looking forward to starting conference play when we come back."

The Cowboys will open Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference play Jan. 8 when they travel to Altus to take on Western Oklahoma State and then will be home on Jan. 11 to face defending Region 2 Tournament Champions Seminole State College.
