Cowboys Picked to Win OCAC in 2025-26 Preseason Poll
The Connors State College Cowboys men's basketball team has been picked to win the Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference in the 2025-26 OCAC Men's Basketball Coaches Preseason Poll, announced by the league on Wednesday.
Warner – The Connors State College Cowboys men's basketball team has been picked to win the Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference in the 2025-26 OCAC Men's Basketball Coaches Preseason Poll, announced by the league on Wednesday.
The Cowboys Won the Regular Season Championship for the second consecutive year last year with a 14-2 Conference Record. Connors would also go on to win the NJCAA Region 2 Tournament Championship and advanced to the 2025 NJCAA National Tournament Championship Game for the first time since the Cowboys won it all in 1990. The Cowboys have six returning letter winners off last seasons team that took on all the Top Ranked Teams on its way to play for the National Championship.
Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, who the Cowboys defeated in the Championship Game last year 75-59 to advance to the National Tournament for the third time in four years is picked to finish second. Seminole State College was picked to finish third after a Semifinal appearance in the Region 2 Tournament last season.
Murray State College was picked to finish fourth, while Western Oklahoma State College was picked to finish fifth after a Semifinal appearance in the 2025 Tournament. Redlands Community College was picked to finish sixth. Northern Oklahoma College- Enid was picked to finsh seventh.
Eastern Oklahoma State College and Northern Oklahoma College- Tonkawa were both picked eighth and ninth respectively on Wednesday by the league's coaches.
The Cowboys open the season on November 3rd at 7:00 pm inside Melvin Self Field-House against Allen Community College to begin a three-game homestand to start the year.
