Cowboy Soccer Set to Play Familiar Opponents This Spring
WARNER - After having their season ended in the first round for the third straight season, the Connors State men's soccer team is back in training and gearing up for a pair of matches against four year universities.
With only four sophomores on the spring roster and all of them well committed to their four-year universities, these matches will feature the freshmen looking to step into leadership roles and others trying to earn a larger role in the fall.
The men will start their spring season on Friday when they travel to Tahlequah to battle Northeastern State. This game will be the third friendly the teams have played, as the men played the Riverhawks in preseason and in the spring season during our first year. The match will be played at Doc Wadley Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 PM.
After spring break, the men will return to training and will have a month to prepare to face off against Mid-American Christian University's top team for the second spring in a row. The Evangels are a familiar foe for the Cowboys; this will be the second meeting between Connors State and the MACU top team, the first ending in a 1-1 draw last spring. The Cowboys have also played a pair of games against their reserve team, the most recent of which Connors won 10-0 to end the 2025 regular season.
The MACU game will be played April 11th at Dill Soccer Field in Oklahoma City, with kickoff scheduled for 12:00 PM.
Any schedule updates will be announced on social media, so make sure you follow Connors State Soccer on Facebook, X, and Instagram for updates on both teams.
