Fisher Departs for Florida SouthWestern after 12 years!
After 12 years in Warner, Oklahoma Head Coach Jamie Fisher has departed for another job in Fort Myers Florida at Florida SouthWestern State College. Coach Jamie Fisher notified Connors State College this past Friday of his departure. Coach Fisher is coming off his best season at Connors State College with a 29-5 record, OCAC Championship, NJCAA Region 2 Championship, and a trip to the National Tournament in Casper Wyoming.
In Coach Fisher's 9-year tenure as head coach, he compiled a record of 150-11, received 2 Region II Coach of the Year Awards, coached a 2-time NJCAA All-American, and moved over 25 players onto the 4-year level.
"First and foremost I want to thank Athletic Director Bill Muse and President Dr. Ron Ramming for intrusting a tradition rich program to me. It's been truly an honor to work alongside Coach Bill Muse he has been an amazing athletic director and mentor for me, Coach has helped me grow professionally and personally, and I am truly thankful," said Head Coach Jamie Fisher. "I am also extremely grateful to Dr. Ramming he's been a wonderful president who truly supports the Connors State athletic programs, and I am truly thankful for the opportunity he entrusted me to lead the Cowgirl Basketball Program," said Fisher
Fisher spent his first three years at Connors State College as the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach where he came to Warner by way of Howard College in Big Spring, Texas.
"I hate to see him go, but this is a great opportunity for Coach Fisher," said Athletic Director Bill Muse "He's done an excellent job the last couple of years and has the program moving in the right direction," said Muse
Connors State wants to wish Coach Fisher good luck in his future endeavors and will begin searching for a replacement immediately.
